The Beginning
I have played guitar for almost 10 years and I would certainly consider it to be my main instrument. I started playing percussion in 6th grade and learned musical rhythms. In middle school, I taught myself drumset and was taught some music theory and basic piano. I joined the jazz band and stayed in the regular band doing both at once in 7th grade, and learned bass guitar for the jazz band. I continues doing this through my sophomore year in high school, but I also added marching band in which I played snare drum and pep band in which I played drum set. I stepped out of a musical position in school when I was accepted to go to the Indiana Academy for Math, Science, and Humanities. While it was the best decision I could have made in my life, I desperately missed being involved in music. I knew going into college I wanted to be involved in music for the rest of my life and I have stuck by that path. I hope to be working in live sound and gaining more work experience.
